Nationals of OECD member countries may now own cultivated agricultural land in Latvia

Latvia has amended its laws so that nationals of Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) member countries are eligible to become owners of cultivated agricultural land. Previously, agricultural land ownership was restricted to EU citizens. This means that UK nationals can buy such land, and bequeath or transfer it to other UK citizens.
