Trade barrier summary

Indonesia has introduced a new sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) measure. Imports of live animals (pets and mammals) into Indonesia from a country that is not free from COVID-19, need to have both:

- a certificate of declaration stating that the consignment is free from COVID-19 (SARS-Cov-2)
- a certification of laboratory analysis showing the animal or animals have tested negative for COVID-19 (SARS-Cov-2) - this must be conducted by an accredited laboratory or authorised laboratory in the exporting country/country of origin
