BPOM Regulation 8/2020 imposes new requirements impacting the distribution of drugs on e-commerce platforms. These provisions include the following requirements:
a) E-commerce platforms must obtain an PSEF (e-system provider) license from the relevant authorities;
b) Pharmaceutical industries must conduct online drug distribution through its own electronic system;
c) Products containing precursors cannot be sold via e-commerce sites.
