UK application for Taiwanese recognition of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) regionalisation

in Taiwan

Trade barrier summary

If there is an outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the UK, Taiwan's animal health authority will stop UK poultry product exports.

The UK submitted the HPAI regionalisation application in 2019, which requests for continuity or early resumption of trade of poultry products from unaffected areas in the event of limited and contained HPAI outbreaks. The application is now under Taiwan's review.
