Saudi Arabia require list of UK food producers to grant export licences

in Saudi Arabia

Trade barrier summary

UK food exports to Saudi Arabia were delayed due to the Saudi Food and Drug Authority’s (SFDA) requirement for the UK to register meat, dairy, and seafood producers in order for them to be able to export to Saudi. A new process has been developed to enable businesses to register with the SFDA via the Department for Food, Environment and Rural Affairs (Defra) as the UK competent authority. Businesses wanting to export food items should contact the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) in the first instance by emailing exports@apha.gov.uk.
