Trade barrier summary

An export ban in place since 1996 was partially lifted in 2019 to allow the export of beef carcass and offal under 30 months old from the UK to Japan. This doesn’t include minced meat, meat preparations (such as fresh, uncooked burgers) and cooked meat which the UK is still not permitted to export to Japan.
