The requirements of the European Chemicals Agency's (ECHA) REF-12 enforcement project targeting substances, mixtures and articles imported into the EU from non-EU countries, under EU REACH, caused delays for a UK exporter at the border.

UK government has worked with respective Belgian authorities to resolve the issue, enabling UK businesses to continue exporting chemical-based products into Belgium.
