Exporters from the Falkland Islands now able to export fisheries products to Morocco
in MoroccoTrade barrier summary
The Falkland Islands have fishing vessels that operate in Moroccan territorial waters. The Falkland Islands' governor's office and sanitary authorities found the Moroccan sanitary regulations and requirements for the registration of vessels difficult to navigate to ensure compliance.
Following UK government engagement with the Moroccan authorities, these fishing vessels have been registered smoothly. This now enables Falklanders to sell their fish in Morocco.
