A revised protocol for live aquatic animals came into effect on 29 January 2026, providing the necessary health and certification framework for the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC) to approve imports of this species.
This enables China to fast track approval of the product and allows UK exports of live spiny lobsters to proceed.
