There are 2 newly agreed export health certificates (EHCs) now in place to permit the export of poultry meat and eggs to the UAE, opening the market for table eggs and allowing exports of fresh poultry meat from the UK for the first time in 5 years. This follows rounds of technical discussions between Defra teams, the Defra Attache in the Middle East and the UAE government.
The 2 EHCs are:
- EHC 8060, for the export of egg and egg products to the United Arab Emirates
- EHC 1513, for the export of poultry meat and poultry meat products to the United Arab Emirates
