Following engagement with UK government officials, Vietnam’s government has passed the Amended Pharma Law and signed a new Decree. This legislation allows for a faster marketing authorisation process for pharmaceutical products.

It will simplify marketing authorisation application requirements. It also reduces timelines for new drugs, vaccines and biologics to enter the market that have already been approved by stringent regulators, such as the UK’s Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
