For example, it clarifies the types of safety certificates that are required for any goods intended to come into contact with food. A lack of clarity on safety certificates was previously leading to customs delays on these products.

UK businesses should follow the guidance to mitigate the risk of there being errors in the documents they need to present at Italy’s border.
