Trade barrier summary

India did not recognise one-year masters programmes offered by UK universities for the purposes of Civil Service employment or for admission to PhD courses at Indian Universities. Following signature of the UK-India Mutual Recognition of Qualifications agreement, A-levels and their equivalents, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees are now recognised. This was part of the UK-India Enhanced Trade Partnership Market Access agreement.
