Mutual recognition of qualifications agreed between Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) and Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA)
in MalaysiaTrade barrier summary
The Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) will grant approval for subjects within Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) advanced diplomas to enable Malaysian and British students to study seamlessly.
Malaysian institutes will need to submit SQA qualifications for MQA approval, similar to the process for Malaysian qualifications. SQA qualifications are already recognised by UK universities. Malaysian students completing an advance diploma can join UK universities within a year. This pathway allows Malaysian students eligibility for UK master's programmes. Additionally, they may apply to any UK university with their SQA qualifications, which will be matched to the university's entry requirements if not directly partnered.
