Non-recognition of international testing standards in Indonesia affects UK exports

in Indonesia

Trade barrier summary

The Indonesian National Standard (SNI), which permits certain products to enter the market, seems increasingly not to recognise products that meet international standards. Acceptance of product testing by overseas standards bodies seems to also be decreasing. There is a need for greater use of international product standards and acceptance of testing by international bodies in the market.
