The United Arab Emirates (UAE) did not recognise UK higher education qualifications from institutions in UAE Freezones, uniformly. The UAE has now produced clear guidance and put in place support for UK Universities applying for the accreditation process. As a result, UK Higher Education Institutions based in UAE freezones have a clear path to accreditation, and qualifications from these institutions are now recognised by the UAE.
