A new mutual recognition agreement has been signed between the UK’s Architects Registration Board and the Regulatory Organizations of Architecture in Canada (Regroupement des Ordres d’Architectes du Canada).
The agreement was signed on 23 April 2025 and came into force on 14 May 2025. It provides for a streamlined registration process for eligible British and Canadian architects to practice in both countries.
