in IndonesiaTrade barrier summary
Following changes to Indonesia's higher education regulations in July 2023, UK higher education institutions can now set up branch campuses anywhere in Indonesia, rather than being limited to special economic zones.
The quality assurance reforms have also introduced a more flexible, framework-based approach. This has aligned the compliance process with established overseas quality assurance systems and provided foreign universities with greater autonomy in how they meet quality standards.
